Works like the BA II Plus: time value of money, cash-flow NPV and IRR, and loan amortization. Use the keypad, your keyboard, or the worksheets. They share the same registers.

Try it: a mortgage payment

A $400,000 loan over 30 years at 6.5%, paid monthly:

  1. 2ND FV clears TVM
  2. 12 2ND I/Y sets 12 payments per year
  3. 360 N, 6.5 I/Y, 400000 PV, 0 FV
  4. CPT PMT shows −2,528.27

Keys and conventions

  • Cash-flow signs. Money you receive is positive and money you pay is negative, so a loan is PV > 0, PMT < 0.
  • Chain arithmetic. Like the BA II Plus default, operations run in the order entered: 2 + 3 × 4 = 20.
  • 2ND functions are printed above each key: xP/Y, P/Y, AMORT, BGN, CLR TVM and eˣ.
  • Keyboard. Digits, + − * / ^, Enter for =, Backspace and Esc work outside the input boxes.
